PSY 302 Social Psychology Select Term:
This course is an introduction to social psychology, the study of human interaction. Social psychology is concerned with the reciprocal influence between the social environment and people's attitudes and behaviors about themselves and others. This will be a survey course, offering an overview of the important topics that comprise the field of social psychology including: social influences, prosocial behavior, group processes, gender, authority, conformity, attitude formation, aggression, persuasion and propaganda, attraction, stereotypes, and self-esteem. Emphasis will be placed on learning basic theories about human behavior in social contexts, and applying such frameworks and research to real-life settings in politics, education, law, health care, etc
